The Play Zone Kit by Perfect Fit Brand

Cock rings are a favorite gay boy’s sex toy, but most straight women have no idea how these things work. Where do we begin?

Since I don’t have a penis, I asked Steve Callow, founder of Arousal Rings brand, Perfect Fit, what’s up with the new penis rings down there.

“We made the Play Zone Kit so it can be fun for a couple to experiment,” he says. The cock ring, now called an “arousal ring“, can be used in many ways on a guy’s junk. “How a ring is worn depends on the ring size, your equipment and the desired effect,” he says. The silicone ring is made in 14 sizes. We define Arousal Rings as a category containing three basic types of rings: The two most common ways to wear a ring is on the shaft, often called “penis rings” and then the other is around the base of the penis and scrotum (yup it goes under the scrotum and around everything), we often call these “cock rings.”...continue reading here.

  5. FKIN A(rt) FRIDAY

    FKIN A(rt) FRIDAY

Meet randy, snarky, 18th century pop star painter, William Hogarth

Sometime we think back in ye days of olde, everyone was buttoned up and as stuffy as an 8th grade required reading classic. But, dig, sniff, paw around or just expand your reading list or get your butt to a museum, and it is abundantly evident that our fascination with sex has been a fact of life since Eve waved that apple in Adam's face.

Meet 18th century painter, Wiliam Hogarth (1697-1764), an English painter, printmaker, pictorial satirist, social critic, and editorial cartoonist. Prolific, his most successful works where those in which he was poking fun at the upper classes as they were portrayed by in the works of contemporary painters like Jean-Antoine Watteau, François Boucher and Jean-Honoré Fragonard.

During the 1730s British painter William Hogarth produced three versions of a series showing a young couple before and after a sexual encounter. Engraved print versions of this series were extremently popular, partically becuase they references current affairs and "celebrities; he sold over 1200 prints.

"Hogarth’s Before and After series parodied fashionable fête galante* subjects by Antoine Watteau and others French artists, as well as modern high-life subjects by Jean-François du Troy. Such works often show a nobleman making elegant protestations of love to a lady."Tate.org

  6. Why Tiny Dicks Might Come Back Into Fashion – Vice

Why Tiny Dicks Might Come Back Into Fashion – Vice

Perusing Vice, up popped "Why Tiny Dicks Might Come Back Into Fashion," a fascinating article by writer Mark Hay.

From why the Greeks preferred more, uh, discreet penises on their gorgeous god statues to the cultural evolution to the glorification of the huge cock, lots to learn and share over a good, wait for it, cock...tail.

One screenshot and a snippet, below, followed by a link to read the full article on Vice.com

Why Tiny Dicks Might Come Back Into Fashion

"No culture, the experts I’ve spoken to said, seems to have been as directly enamored with small penises as the Ancient Greeks. (Counterexamples in Eastern, African, and Indigenous art that feature highly stylized or exaggerated visible genitalia can be found in works like Japanese Shunga prints, Kongo fertility statues, and Peruvian Moche pots, respectively.) Romans and other Western cultures just ran with Greek sculptural tropes, or downplayed dicks in tandem with Christian conservatism. The Romans, ardent followers of the Greeks in many ways, laughed at Priapus and chiseled little chubbies onto their statues in one breath, but in another exalted enormous erections as signs of manliness. David M. Friedman, in his cultural history of the penis A Mind of Its Own, noted that Roman generals at times promoted soldiers based on the size of their genitals. In private, some Romans apparently saw the sexual appeal of a prodigious penis: “There is some indication,” noted Ormand, “that there were male prostitutes in Rome who were prized for the size of their genitalia.”
